What's considered discrimination?

Discrimination at Washington State University, on the basis of race, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, religion, age, color, creed, national or ethnic origin, physical, mental or sensory disability, marital status, genetic information, and/or status as a veteran, is prohibited by federal law, state law and WSU policy.

Anyone who believes they have observed or experienced an act of discrimination or harassment that took place at any WSU Vancouver-affiliated facility or event, or was committed by a WSU Vancouver student, employee or volunteer should contact a supervisor, faculty member/instructor, or administrator as soon as possible. A complaint may be filed locally at any time with Student Affairs and Enrollment, the Director for Student Development, Human Resources or Public Safety. Complaints can also be filed at the Pullman offices listed at right.

Sexual harassment and sexual assault are forms of discrimination and should be reported. Additionally, sexual assault and all other criminal acts should be reported to the police.
