Humanitarian Award

Purpose
The Humanitarian Award was developed by WSU Vancouver's Office of Student Affairs to honor persons who are making significant contributions to the community with their time, actions and dedication. Students and Registered Student Organizations may be nominated by any member of the WSU Vancouver community including: faculty, staff and current students.
Award criteria
The recipient of the award should be an individual or group who has made contributions to the community in areas such as:
- Social Justice
- Environmental Justice
- Economic or Social Equality
- Community Building
- Teaching/Education
- Child Advocacy
Eligibility
Nominees must fall into one of two categories: 1) Be a current WSU Vancouver student in good standing (defined by the University as having a GPA of 2.0 or higher) OR 2) Be a Registered Student Organizations* with active status at the time of nomination.

Recognition
The recipient of the Humanitarian Award is acknowledged each year in April at the Student Leadership Recognition Program.
