Leadership programs

National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS)

The NSLS is the largest leadership honor society in the United States. Our NSLS chapter at WSU Vancouver was started in 2020. Our local chapter is part of the national organization with 700+ chapters and over 1.4 million members. Students are selected based on exemplary academic achievement. As of 2021 we have 219 members. The NSLS leadership program teaches the interpersonal skills that employers seek to give you an edge in the job market. For more information check out our Coug Presence page.

Student Leadership Recognition Program

Coordinate event details and honor fellow students who have exhibited excellence in leadership at WSU Vancouver. Be recognized for your own contributions to the campus and the broader community.

Women of Distinction

Join us in planning Women of Distinction, a celebration of Women’s History Month, observed each year in March. Recognize women who have made a difference in the lives of others.

Employment with OSI

Our interns organize the intramural program and plan large events. Our staff assist visitors in the Firstenburg Student Commons and Fitness Center.

There are many opportunities to be hired or volunteer for positions, including campus committees that help govern our student organizations and the university.

Current opportunities

Opportunities to get engaged occur throughout the year. Intern applications open early spring. Other staff are hired as positions become available. Stay tuned!
