Washington State University expects students to maintain academic standards of excellence and make satisfactory academic progress toward their degree objectives.
Undergraduate academic deficiency
Undergraduate students are in good academic standing if both their current WSU semester and cumulative grade point averages are 2.00 or above, and/or they are eligible to be enrolled.
Students not meeting this criteria are considered academically deficient and must apply for reinstatement.

It is recommended that reinstatement be completed as early as possible for course planning and financial aid purposes.

**Former student returning: You are considered a former student if you have been absent for more than one semester after enrolling at WSU Vancouver for a fall or spring term as a degree-seeking student.
***For former students returning, the reinstatement process includes completing a reinstatement application, writing a personal statement and completing an interview with your academic advisor.
