Not eligible to file a FAFSA? Complete a WASFA—Washington Application for State Financial Aid. The same OCTOBER timeframe applies.
2018/19 filing instructions:
- File for financial aid beginning Oct. 1.
- Use WSU school code 003800.
- Use 2016 tax information.
There are two deadlines this year—know yours.
If you will be enrolled at any WSU campus on Sept. 2, 2017 for any number of credits.
- Your FAFSA or WASFA must be filed by Nov. 30, 2017. Submit all Financial Aid Additional Information Requests by Feb. 15, 2018.
Otherwise, your FAFSA or WASFA must be filed by Jan. 31, 2018. Submit all Financial Aid Additional Information Requests by March 15, 2018.

Family financial changes?
If your family has had or is expecting a change in financial situation since filing the 2018/19 FAFSA and 2016 tax information, you will have the opportunity to request a financial review by submitting a Special Circumstances Appeal with the WSU Student Financial Services office.
The appeal form and instructions will be available in early 2018.
