myWSU is our online student portal that supports admissions, financial aid and scholarships, academic advising and much more.

This page will help guide you through myWSU, with instructions on accomplishing various tasks.


First-time users

In order to access myWSU you need to complete activation of your network user account. You will receive an email from WSU with your username (Network ID) and instructions to activate your "Okta Account."

If you experience difficulties accessing your account, visit login.wsu.edu/help/login to request assistance.

Once you activate your account, visit account.wsu.edu to manage your WSU password and other network security features.


How to grant Third Party Access so others (parents/spouses) can view information:

  1. Log into your myWSU account
  2. Select any "Homepage" option available in the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Profile.”
  4. Select “Third Party Access.”
  5. Select "Share My Information."
  6. Complete the online form to give access.

How to update your contact information (email, mailing address, phone number, etc.):

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select any "Homepage" option available in the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Profile.”
    • For email and phone numbers, select “Contact Details.”
    • For home and mailing addresses, select "Addresses."
  4. Select the contact information to be changed.
  5. Update your information and select "Save."

How to set up your WSU email account:

  1. Go to office365.wsu.edu.
  2. Log in through the WSU sign-in page with your Network ID and password (same as myWSU login).
  3. On the Office 365 landing page, select the "Mail" icon link.
    • The first time you access this, it will ask you to set your time zone.
    • Your email address will be: YourNetworkID@wsu.edu

How to check what is needed to complete your application:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Admissions.”
  4. Select the "To Do List" tab to view incomplete items.
  5. Select each item to view additional information.

Submitted items such as transcripts and test scores may take up to three weeks to show they've been received.

How to find your WSU student ID number:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select any "Homepage" option available in the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Profile.”
  4. Your WSU student ID number (nine digits) is displayed at the top of the page after "ID."

How to pay your $200 confirmation deposit:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Admissions.”
  4. Select “Accept," then confirm that you accept.
  5. Select "Pay Tuition Deposit" and log in to Advance Pay with your WSU student ID number and birthday (MMDD).
  6. Follow the instructions to pay the $200 advanced tuition/confirmation deposit to hold your spot in the incoming class.

*Tuition deposit can be waived if a student is Pell Grant eligible. For more information, contact the Office of Admissions at 360-546-9779 or van.admissions@wsu.edu.

How to read/review the transfer equivalency guide:

  1. Visit the Transfer Credit home page.
  2. Select "Transfer Course Search Tool."
  3. Select “Browse Transfer Course Information,” if you know the WSU course you need to take.
  4. Select “Transfer Course Search,” if you know the transfer institution course and want to know the WSU equivalent.

How to read/review your transfer credit report:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Academic Advising.”
  4. Select “View Transfer Credit Report.”

Transfer Credit Reports are created after you confirm your offer of admission by accepting your offer of admission and paying the $200 confirmation deposit.

How to review what is missing from your financial aid file:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" or "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Tasks.”

How to view your financial aid award:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" or "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Financial Aid.”
  4. Award for year will show in "Award Summary."

How to accept/decline your financial aid loans:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" or "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Financial Aid.”
  4. Under the "Awards" menu, select "Accept/Decline."
  5. Select the "Edit" button above the list of awards.
  6. Accepted funding is for two semesters, or the full academic year, and will be split accordingly.
  7. Under the "Award Decision" column in the list of awards, select "Accept" or "Decline" in the selection drop-down next to each award.
  8. Select the "Submit" button above the list of awards and confirm you wish to submit your decision.

How to view itemized list of charges and payments:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" or "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Financial Account.”
  4. Outstanding charges will be listed under "Account Balance."
  5. To view payments, select "Payment History."

How to set up direct deposit, bank accounts and student permissions for financial aid:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" or "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Financial Account.”
  4. Select “Account Services.”
  5. Account Services has multiple tabs:
    • Select “Enroll in Direct Deposit” to add or modify a bank account for direct deposit.
      • Input your bank account number and routing number.
      • Once direct deposit is set up, add or change your account under "Manage Bank Accounts."
    • Select “View Student Permissions” to grant permission for financial aid.
      • Select "Grant Permissions."
      • Read Student Permissions Agreement and select "Next."
      • Select "Yes, I have read the agreement."
      • Select "Submit."
    • Select “Manage My Bank Accounts” to see what bank accounts are associated with your student account.

How to view your 1098-T:

  1. Log into your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Applicant Homepage" or "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Financial Account.”
  4. Select “Account Services.”
  5. Select "View 1098-T."
  6. Select Tax Year.
  7. A PDF of the 1098-T will generate.

How to view your class schedule:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Manage Classes.” A calendar with classes will be displayed under "Weekly Schedule."

How to add/register for/enroll in classes thru the first week of classes:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Manage Classes.”
  4. Select "Class Search and Enroll."
  5. Select the term in which you wish to add a class.
  6. Enter keywords (e.g. "english 101") into the search field under "Search For Classes."
  7. Filter the list to display only Vancouver courses by selecting "Vancouver Campus" under the "Campus" menu heading.
  8. Select the class you wish to enroll in.
  9. On the "Course Information" page that is displayed, select "Class Selection," then select an option listed under "Select a class option."

You will now be presented with steps to review the class you selected.

  1. Review your selected class in step 1, "Review Class Selection."
  2. Advance to step 2 by selecting "Review Class Preferences."
  3. Choose to be added to waitlist if you wish, then select the "Accept" button.
  4. In step 3, "Enroll or Add to Cart," select "Enroll" if you are eligible to enroll at this date, or select "Add to Shopping Cart" to save this class selection for enrollment at a later date. Select the "Next" button at the top of the page.
  5. In step 4, "Review and Submit," review the selected course once more, then select the "Submit" button.

How to drop (remove) a class thru the 20th day of classes:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Manage Classes.”
  4. Select "Drop Classes."
  5. Select the term in which you wish to drop a class.

You will now be presented with steps to review the classes you wish to drop.

  1. Find the class you wish to drop in step 1, "Select Classes to Drop."
  2. Select the check box under the "Select" column of the class, and select a "Reason for Dropping."
  3. Select the "Next" button at the top of the page.
  4. In step 2, "Review Classes to Drop," review the selected course once more, then select the "Drop Classes" button.

How to view your final exam schedule:

  1. Log in to your myWSU account.
  2. Select "Student Homepage" from the drop-down menu at the top of the page.
  3. Select “Manage Classes.”
  4. On your "Weekly Schedule" page, select "View my Exam Schedule" (link located immediately above your schedule calendar).
