Fall 2021-starting students
October 2020 – Jan. 31
File the FAFSA or WASFA if you plan to apply for student aid. Submit WSU General Scholarship application by Jan. 31.
October 2020 – spring 2021
If required, take the writing and math placement exams prior to meeting with an advisor. These exams will help your advisor place you in the right English and math classes for your major. Learn more about who needs to take the math placement exam.
Transfer students and freshmen with college credit (such as Running Start students) are strongly encouraged to submit unofficial college transcripts in the spring to help us advise you on placement requirements and course registration. Learn how to submit unofficial transcripts.
Mid-March 2021
Transfer students can begin scheduling academic advising appointments. Watch your WSU email inbox for an invitation from your assigned advisor. This appointment is required to register for classes.
Running Start or freshman with college credit? You may be able to schedule an advising appointment in spring. Submit your unofficial college transcripts (if you haven’t already done so) for the opportunity to meet with an advisor and register early. If you have questions, please contact the ROAR Team at van.roar@wsu.edu.
Mid-March 2021
Sign-ups for mandatory ROAR Orientation will open.
Late April 2021
Registration for fall classes begins for transfer and eligible freshmen with college credits. Make an appointment with your advisor to get your advising hold lifted. Registration continues through the summer.
