ROAR Orientation spring 2021

Welcome VanCougs! Congratulations again on your offer of admission to WSU Vancouver! You’ll make a great addition to the Cougar family. Here are your next steps:

Step 1: Meet with an academic advisor

If you haven’t already done so, you must meet with an academic advisor before registering for classes. You should have received an email with contact information for your specific advisor. If not, click here to view a list of advisors and contact information so you can set up an advising appointment and get registered for spring classes.

Step 2: Review your financial aid

We highly suggest meeting with a Student Financial Services team member prior to starting the semester. SFS team members are trained to help you interpret your award letter, understand your cost of attendance, apply for scholarships, and complete financial aid paperwork. Make a Zoom appointment or contact the Cougar Center.

Step 3: Complete the ROAR Online Orientation by January 18

This is an online course that is mandatory for all incoming students to prepare you for the semester. Most students take about 1 – 2 hours to complete the course.

New Student Checklist

Prior to starting classes, we also recommend that you review the New Student Checklist. This is a list of helpful items to complete before the semester begins, like buying books and getting your WSU email set up.
