ALEKS Math Placement $45 One-time fee for math placement. This cost includes up to a full year of access to the WSU MPA package including: Initial placement assessment, a six-month online preparation and learning module, and up to four re-assessments. van.elca@wsu.edu
Admissions Application Fee $70
($35 for Former Students and Non-Degree)
Nonrefundable fee charged at the time of application. Students can request to have the fee waived at the time of application and may be asked to submit documentation for approval. This fee supports Admissions and Recruitment efforts. Requests for waivers are processed individually by Admissions. van.admissions@wsu.edu
Technology fee $20 Applied each semester (fall, spring and summer) for the purpose of funding student-geared projects and proposals that enhance the student experience and provide resources to address the technological needs of the campus for current and future students. The tech fee cost is approximately $2 per credit, since it's charged a reduced rate at part-time enrollment—it also includes a print credit.
Enrollment fee $150 One time mandatory fee. Applied to new incoming freshmen and transfer students in the first standard term. Students who start in summer will see this charge in fall. Charged for the purpose of funding new student orientation and supporting account set-up for new students, as well as additional miscellaneous items related to first-term enrollment. This fee cannot be waived, but financial aid can cover it. If fee was applied once and was removed due to a petition process, the fee will not be applied again if the student returns in the following term, since the student is no longer an "incoming" student. van.accounts@wsu.edu
Advanced Tuition Deposit $200

Nonrefundable deposit applied to semester for which student has been admitted (note: summer start students pay the deposit for fall). Submitted by all new incoming freshmen and transfer students when they confirm their intention to enroll at WSU Vancouver—the deposit is then applied towards tuition costs.

Important: this is a deposit, NOT a fee. It is "refunded" back to a student in the form of a credit when tuition posts to their account. The deposit can be waived for applicants who qualify (e.g. free and reduced lunch, College Bound Scholarship student, Pell eligible, or receiving some form of state assistance). If you have junior standing class level, the enrollment fee of $150 will be added together with the portfolio fee of $50. This totals to amount of $200 (same as deposit fee, however they are a separate charge). If a student submits a deposit, does not enroll, and is admitted for a later term, the deposit will be required again for confirmation.
