Zoom access instructions

Please note—only authenticated users can join a WSU Zoom video conference. You must have an activated Zoom license (a free account through Zoom, WSU or another institution) and be signed into the Zoom application before joining a presentation.

To access a Zoom video conference, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the WSU Zoom Website (https://wsu.zoom.us) and click the Download Client link at the bottom of the page. A new page will open with links to download the Zoom client for a variety of systems, including Android and iOS.
  2. To attend the presentation, please find a quiet location away from distracting noises and click on the Zoom link provided to you by your presentation host five minutes prior to the start of the session.
  3. Next, select “Join meeting” and you will be prompted to create a display name for the session. Please use your first and last name as your display name.
  4. After inputting your name, you will be placed in a virtual “waiting room.” You will be admitted to the session once it begins.
