Please note—only authenticated users can join a WSU Zoom video conference. You must have an activated Zoom license (a free account through Zoom, WSU or another institution) and be signed into the Zoom application before joining a presentation.
To access a Zoom video conference, please follow these steps:
- Go to the WSU Zoom Website (https://wsu.zoom.us) and click the Download Client link at the bottom of the page. A new page will open with links to download the Zoom client for a variety of systems, including Android and iOS.
- To attend the presentation, please find a quiet location away from distracting noises and click on the Zoom link provided to you by your presentation host five minutes prior to the start of the session.
- Next, select “Join meeting” and you will be prompted to create a display name for the session. Please use your first and last name as your display name.
- After inputting your name, you will be placed in a virtual “waiting room.” You will be admitted to the session once it begins.
