WSU Vancouver offers academic support and assistance for a number of classes through the Supplemental Instruction (SI) Program.
Supplemental Instruction is a free academic support program available on campus whose purpose is to help you better understand concepts or applications of course content while improving your grades.
Weekly group study sessions are led by SI Leaders who facilitate weekly review sessions and offer assistance with course-specific subject matter.
All students enrolled in SI-supported courses are welcome to join the group study sessions throughout the semester.
Most SI Leaders are junior and senior students who have content-competency and have successfully completed the courses they support. They possess and demonstrate effective study skills and help students maximize their potential for academic success.
Group study session benefits:
- earn a better grade
- better understand course material
- teach and learn from your classmates
- develop effective study skills that can be applied to other classes
“Great job, thoroughly explaining topics! I felt like I completely understood energy conservation and how to find the center of mass after the SI session. They are awesome for explaining some of the most critical points in more layman's terms.”
