Peer Health Educator supports two other students on campus

The Mental and Physical Health Education program organizes trainings and workshops for the campus community and connects students with health-related resources. The team is dedicated to educating fellow VanCougs about various health and wellness topics, as well as addressing substance misuse.

Peer health educators

Peer health educators (PHEs) work with the Student Wellness Center and the Suicide Prevention Grant Manager to educate and empower fellow students. PHEs facilitate educational workshops on topics such as stress management, self-care, and relationships. PHEs also:

  • Organize health and wellness-related events and activities
  • Spread awareness about health and wellness programs
  • Connect students with helpful resources on campus and in the community
  • Work with campus partners to advocate for policies that support well-being

Become a Peer health educator

As a peer health educator, you will build leadership and public speaking skills, receive training and hands-on experience and learn about a variety of health topics.
