Student Wellness Center Manager
Patience McGinnis joined WSU Vancouver in October 2013. She is a licensed psychologist and manages the Student Wellness Center. Dr. McGinnis has been licensed as a psychologist in the state of Washington since 2009 and in the state of Oregon since 2010.
Alicia Cortada, B.A.
Patient Services Coordinator
Alicia began working at WSU Vancouver in November of 2021. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Arizona State University (2020). She hopes to pursue her graduate degree in the near future. Alicia is passionate about working with the community and is eager to assist in connect students to counseling and health services.
Candace Hart, FNP, MSN, RN
Family Nurse Practitioner

Candace Hart began working at our Health Services clinic in September of 2019. She has been an RN for 22 years and licensed Family Nurse Practitioner since 2018. She is licensed in both Washington and Oregon.
Candace Hart strives to provide high-quality care to all patients. She feels affective communication is key to health and recovery and will provide the time needed to ensure her patients understand the plan of care and health care needs. She is empathetic, efficient, and caring with all aspects of her medical care.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Candace worked in the emergency room at Legacy Health as well as travel nursing for 20 years. She feels calm and clear headed during difficult medical situations.
During off work time, Candace enjoys spending time with her family. She has a husband, 2 daughters, and a goofy labradoodle puppy. They plan to add an additional puppy to their pack soon. They enjoy traveling, camping, hiking, exercise, and golf.
