It’s not too late! Applications are still being accepted for fall 2020.

This is where your path to becoming a VanCoug begins. If you have questions, ask us. Application fees are nonrefundable, so let’s talk first if you don't know which form to use or which semester you plan to start.

Online applications are now closed, but you may still complete and submit a PDF application.

Just save a copy of the relevant application form below, fill it out and send it back to us with the nonrefundable application fee.

Applying as a freshman or transfer for fall 2020? All application materials must be submitted by Monday, Aug. 10. Log into myWSU and check for missing items. Trouble with myWSU? Review myWSU Info.

In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency, submission of ACT/SAT scores is optional (not required) for fall 2020 or 2021.

Freshman students

If you expect to graduate from high school this academic year, or you have graduated and have not been enrolled in college beyond the first summer after graduation, use the freshman application.

Running Start students who have completed college courses while in high school are considered freshmen for admission purposes.

Transfer students

If you have attended college since graduating from high school (not including the summer immediately following high school graduation), use the transfer application.

If you took your only college courses in high school, use the freshman application.

If you previously enrolled at any WSU campus, use the former student application.

Graduate students

If you have already spoken with a graduate coordinator or professor and are ready to apply, use the graduate application.

Former students

If you previously enrolled at any WSU campus, and you have been away for more than one semester, use the former student application.

If you were not in good academic standing your last semester at WSU, you may need to be reinstated (Reinstatement information).

$25 application fee—Non-refundable

If you are not a citizen or permanent resident of the United States of America, use the international application.

Non-degree students

If you don't intend to complete a degree at WSU, and you plan to take courses for personal enrichment, to transfer to another college or to get a teaching endorsement, use the non-degree application.
