Patience McGinnis, PsyD
Student Wellness Manager
Patience McGinnis joined WSU Vancouver in October 2013. She is a licensed psychologist and manages the Student Wellness Center. Dr. McGinnis has been licensed as a psychologist in the state of Washington since 2009 and in the state of Oregon since 2010. Additionally, she has worked as a special education teacher for middle school students with disabilities.
LaRonda Zupp, MS
Access Center Coordinator
LaRonda Zupp joined WSU Vancouver in August of 2018. As a Deaf individual, LaRonda has first-hand knowledge and experience of the challenges, frustrations and issues faced by the disabled community when seeking equal access to information, education, services and involvement. She credits her former college advisor in the Disability Support Services, with teaching her many years ago as a young freshman, and newly deafened, how to understand her own accommodation needs, her rights for equal access and how to ask for support services. Empowered from the self-advocacy skills she learned in college, LaRonda went on to earn a BA in Deaf Studies from Gallaudet University (1984), an MS in Counseling, with an emphasis in Deafness and Rehabilitation from California State University, Northridge (1987), and several post-graduate certificates. She has worked with the Deaf and disabled community in a professional capacity for over 30 years as a School Counselor, Community Educator, Client Advocate, Nonprofit Manager, Retreat and Life Coach and Entrepreneur. LaRonda has devoted most of her professional life to teaching diverse individuals with disabilities about the laws that support them, and how to self-advocate for equal access and appropriate accommodations in both educational and community settings.
Perla Hauge, MBA
Testing Services Assistant
Perla Hauge joined the team as the Testing Services Assistant in September 2017. She grew up in Texas receiving a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of Houston. After a move to Arizona she received a MBA from University of Phoenix and ended up in the NW in 2010. She’s a mother of two, a certified sommelier and a yoga instructor.
Alternative Print Assistant
Rob joined the team in August 2018 after a long career in Information Technology. He is a lifelong resident of Vancouver, WA. Rob graduated Magna Cum Laude from WSU with a degree in Business Administration. He also enjoys hiking, skiing and competitive running.
Client Services Representative
Jessica McDonald joined the Student Wellness Center team in January 2018 as the Client Services Representative. She was born and raised in Vancouver, WA, and she is an alumna of WSU Vancouver. In 2017, Jessica graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
