The Vancouver Transfer Achievement Award recognizes high-achieving transfer students who plan to complete their bachelor’s degree at WSU Vancouver while saving on tuition each semester.
Award Information

Maximum award: Up to $4,800 over three years*
This award cannot be combined with other WSU Vancouver tuition discount programs. This award is only valid at WSU Vancouver and cannot be used if you enroll at another WSU campus. Summer sessions are excluded.
Selection Criteria
Vancouver Transfer Achievement Awards are awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Admitted as a new transfer student
- Minimum 3.6 cumulative transfer GPA (unweighted, 4.0 scale)
- Earned 27 or more semester credits (or 40 quarter credits) that are transferable
- Washington resident (for tuition-paying purposes
How to Apply
No separate application is required:
- Apply for admission to WSU Vancouver by:
- November 15 for spring term
- August 7 for fall term
- Submit all required admission materials
That’s it—no application, essay, or letter of recommendation required.
Eligible students will be notified when they are admitted to WSU Vancouver.
Scholarship Renewal
To renew the Vancouver Transfer Achievement Award, you must:
- Maintain a 3.2 cumulative WSU GPA
- Remain enrolled (minimum 6 credits per term)
- Continue as a transfer student at WSU Vancouver
*The award is renewable for up to two additional years (three years total), provided renewal requirements are met.
